This gorgeous Atlanta bride has close family ties in Savannah and chose it as setting for her wedding. Our assignment included documenting a fitting of her bridal gown at home in Atlanta with her mother a couple of weeks before the wedding.
The wedding ceremony was held at Christ Church Episcopal Church in picturesque Savannah where the bride had attended since being a child. The pre-ceremony scene at the family townhouse included a photograph depicting her grandmother’s wedding gown and the monogrammed ring pillow used at that wedding generations before.
After last minute touch ups in the chapel, the bride’s father escorted her down the aisle where her handsome groom watched in anticipation. I love the photograph taken then from the back of church showing faces of the guests in their pews as they admired the bride as she processed toward the altar.
After formal group photographs were taken after the ceremony, it was off to the Oglethorpe Club by trolley for the reception. The setting and décor were exquisite particularly the floral design and colorfully adorned wedding cake. A fun evening of festive dancing ensued until their romantic getaway in a convertible embarking on a new chapter in their life journey.
