It is always a pleasure to head home for a wedding assignment but this one is quite special as the bride’s mother and I were classmates and both natives of Crowley, Louisiana. This fun-loving Texas couple planned a festive New Orleans wedding inside two historic French Quarter venues. Ceremony festivities were held at Preservation Hall and not only included a jazz band performance but a touching solo by the minister who performed just as the bride and her father processed into the hall. A classic second line escorted the entourage through the Quarter to Brennan’s Restaurant, one of New Orleans most famous culinary institutions, for a lovely dinner reception.
