I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of this lovely bride’s sister a couple of years before and was honored to get the call about her own exciting plans. She chose beautiful venues for her Atlanta wedding – First Presbyterian Church and Piedmont Driving Club both in Midtown area.
Her handsome groom hails from St. Louis and his family hosted the rehearsal dinner at Chastain Horse Park. We began wedding day coverage with preparations by the bride and her attendants and dispatched another team photographer to shadow the groom and his group. We used the courtyard at church for some of the group portraits but mostly used the terrace at the Driving Club for the wedding party and family groupings.
The PDC reception used the outdoor courtyard for cocktails and then all were invited to the ballroom for dinner and dancing. I remember seeing and photographing quite a few recent brides and grooms who were also her friends and wedding guests. The evening ended with a festive sparkler filled getaway as the couple made their way to a waiting sedan for the exit. What a memorable and fun wedding!
