I was contacted by this bride’s mother with thanks to a recommendation by our mutual friend Anne Barge, the noted wedding dress designer, as both hail from Cordele, Georgia and grew up together.
The couple resided in Atlanta’s Midtown area and we had the opportunity to photograph them in a portrait session in nearby Piedmont Park several months before the wedding weekend.
They chose two excellent venues for their Atlanta wedding: the lovely Kellett Chapel at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Buckhead for their ceremony and Capital City Club Downtown for their elegant reception. I love the excitement that’s clearly conveyed in their facial expressions especially as they exited the club at the end of the evening surrounded by well-wishing guests with festive sparklers as they headed for their getaway car.
