I always enjoy the stately backdrop of Callanwolde Fine Arts Center when photographing an Atlanta wedding celebration. For this bride, however, it was personal. This was the estate of her great, great grandparents and the natural choice as setting for her elegant wedding reception.
We began the weekend coverage at the Friday rehearsal of the ceremony at Northside United Methodist Church where her father wore traditional and colorful kilt attire in honor of their family heritage.
On the wedding day, I was touched to witness the tearful moment when her father saw the bride in her gown for the first time. It was a perfect day for the wedding ceremony followed by the reception at Callanwolde. Their lovely evening ended with the joyous newlyweds’ getaway in a vintage black convertible. Well done!
