This handsome Washington, DC couple met while attending Tulane University for grad school and decided to return for their New Orleans wedding. She is a brilliant doctor, he’s a decorated Coast Guard officer and Audubon Park was the ideal venue being just across St. Charles Avenue from where it all began.
The gorgeous outdoor scene for this wedding was under moss-draped oaks and particularly magical with dramatic late afternoon rays of sunshine and sounds of the church bells chiming at Holy Name of Jesus in the background as they exchanged vows. A traditional second line complete with umbrellas and their joyfully prancing guests set a festive tone for the evening.
New Orleans will always be one my very favorite places for wedding assignments because it’s a city with a long history of happy celebrations.
