I was delighted to hear from this bride’s mother whose wedding I enjoyed photographing early in my career in Lafayette, Louisiana. I was told about her brilliant daughter and bride-to-be being an artist in Chicago as well as a fan of my work. I was so excited to come back home for this New Orleans wedding celebration.
The weekend assignment included my coverage of a gorgeous luncheon in Covington and wedding day preparations at the Ritz-Carlton which was their host hotel. The Sculpture Garden and New Orleans Museum of Art were venues for this beautiful wedding and reception. There were many artistic details including a spectacular and much lauded groom’s cake created as a bust sculpture in his likeness.
I am honored to have now photographed weddings for two generations of this wonderful family.
